| Members of the Professional Women's Network meet each month to make new business connections, renew acquaintances, and share marketing strategies. |
Dear Visitor,
Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Professional Women's Network. We hope you decide to join our organization and begin enjoying the benefits of membership right away.
PWN is the Monterey Peninsula's largest organization of professional women. PWN was founded in 1983 when five women joined together to establish a network for women in business. Today, PWN is a dynamic organization of approximately 150+ women and men representing a wide spectrum of professions. Our membership is comprised of entrepreneurs, professionals, employees, and retirees. Our members look first within the network for products or services they need, and actively promote the businesses of fellow members.
PWN Meetings
General membership meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 5:45 pm. Guests are welcome to attend for a nominal $5. Please visit our Meetings page for more information.

2011 PWN Woman of the Year: Donna Brandt
Donna Brandt joined PWN in 2006 and has been very active since then. She has served two years as treasurer and has served on the WOTY silent auction committee and the nominating committee. She has also served as an ambassador. She has exhibited excellent networking and marketing skills, always meeting new people at each meeting and between. She has done business with, visited with, or referred at least 45 current PWN members. She has her own Primerica business and joined Le Tip to increase her contacts. She has served as President of the Central Coast Chapter of Le Tip.
Donna has exhibited excellent leadership skills, not only in the actions mentioned above, but also with the First United Methodist Church, where she serves as the Youth Director. I am always amazed at how many activities she has developed for the youth, and the numbers of youth attending church seem to be constantly increasing! She is an excellent role model for the young people, and also for adults. She is a good follower, and that is a necessity to become a good leader. She takes an active role in every organization to which she belongs. Her career as a Primerica representative requires high standards of ethical and professional behavior. She is dependable, respectful of other people’s time, and constantly works to improve her communication skills. In the past nine years with Primerica, she has invested individual resources on personal growth and study.
She has not only been active in PWN, but she also belongs to the Salinas Valley Professional Women’s Network, the Junior League of Monterey County and the First United Methodist Church of Pacific Grove. Junior League requires its members to perform 6 hours of volunteer work per year; last year she reported 29 hours. She is now the Fund Development Chair, working to raise money for the Scholarship Fund. Last year she chaired the Community IMPACT Committee, where the signature project benefited local foster youth. She also volunteers 3 hours per month at the Church Mouse, a thrift shop sponsored by the First United Methodist Church of Pacific Grove, which donates profits to the Church and also to various non-profit organizations on the Monterey Peninsula. She has been on three mission trips since 2006 (to Panama, Guatamala, and South Africa).
She is very close to her parents, sister, nieces and nephew, who all live in Arkansas (and who have all become clients of hers). Her parents were not taught how money works, so Donna has become the “go- to” person in her family for money matters. She has no source of a second income, so she is totally dependent on the income she earns, quite an achievement that many women would not have been able to accomplish! In addition to all of the above, she makes time for exercise, hiking, biking, dancing, reading, painting, travel, wine tasting, family and friends. She always seems cheerful and poised; she appears able to handle any crisis that might occur.
